You know you can come to us for back pain, but did you know you can visit your chiropractor for headaches too? A lot of people will go to their medical doctor and don’t think to visit their chiropractor when a headache arrives. Typically they just take an over the counter drug and mask the pain until it’s gone. While I do think that an over the counter drug can benefit you in certain scenarios I also think that visiting your chiropractor will give you better relief long term. There’s actually many things we’re doing everyday that trigger headaches. Some are unavoidable but there are things we can do to help.
The following things can contribute to a headache.
Constantly looking down at your phone.Starring at your computer all day.Sitting in the same position for long periods of time. (desk job, driving in a car, long plane rides.)Stress and tension.Food and food quality.Clenching your jaw.
Some things that can help.Visiting your Chiropractor.If you have desk job then you should be getting up every 30 to 60 minutes to take a break and even stretching.Same thing if you’re traveling long distance by car or plane.Stop looking down at your phone or tablet. Being more aware of your posture while looking at your phone.Drinking water. I start my day by drinking a big glass of water everyday since I just went 8 hours without any.
So how can a chiropractor help? A chiropractic adjustment will improve your spinal function, nervous system, and overall health.
